Saturday night at Trübsee

New location for the Tourist Center and Ski School This winter season, Engel- berg’s Tourist Center is mov ing into Dor fstrasse (Hinterdor f 1). The newly designed rooms are intended to inspire guests to experience a wide range of the ac tiv ities and adventures available in Engelberg and its surroundings. The move will bring a ll Engelberg’s guest ser v ices together in a single place. Here, guests will be able to book hotels and holiday accommodation, buy cableway tickets and ski passes, and purchase advance tickets for Engel- berg events. The remaining tourism depar tments will stay at the old location until a suitable solution has been found. From the 2017/18 winter season, Ski School Engel- berg will a lso have a new location. The team now welcomes guests to the new premises at Dor fstrasse 41, close to the railway station.

Rocking their asses off: Sir Donkey’s Revenge Sir Donkey’s Revenge is a crossover band that combines ele- ments of rock, hip-hop, heavy meta l and f unk. The members are three young Engelbergers Toni Küng (vo- ca ls), Remo Menia (guitar) and Dav id Stet tler (drums), as well as Ju lian Rogger of Kerns (bass). They have played together since 2014 and have a lready wowed audiences around the countr y. The band reached the f ina ls of Centra l Switzerland ’s ta lent competition Sprungfeder, coming in third place, and were inv ited to per- form on the Jägermeister Bus. Their EP Cute L it tle Creatures Cooperation appeared this April. It was recorded at the L iquid Studio in Freiburg, Germany and is available on CD as well as v ia GooglePlay, iTunes, Spotif y, Igroove, etc. The band has recorded severa l music v ideos with Engelberg f ilm producers Jan Hu- wiler and Simon Furrer of Mountain Media. Enjoy night-time snowtubing, snowshoe wa lking or winter hik- ing at Trübsee ever y Saturday f rom Christmas to Easter. From 23 Decem- ber 2017 to 31 March 2018, the gondo- la lif t will take guests up to Trübsee. Holders of a va lid day pass, mu lti- day pass or season pass can use their tickets to travel up to Trübsee on those evenings. A ll other v isitors pay CHF 16 for a return journey f rom Engelberg. Children under 16 ac- companied by an adu lt travel f ree of charge. The last uphill journey will be at 9 p.m. and the last journey back down to the va lley at 10:30 p.m. The Lago Torbido restaurant (with waiter ser v ice) and the Trübsee Bar will both be open. Lago Torbido ser ves au- thentic Ita lian pizza, pasta and wine.
