PHA Media joins forces with the Taylor Bennett Foundation

Partnership will aim to provide greater opportunities for emerging industry talent. PHA Media are excited to announce that we have formed an exciting new partnership with the Taylor Bennett Foundation, through providing a crash course in agency life at the company’s Soho offices. A group of PR trainees from the Taylor Bennett Foundation, which aims to address the need for greater ethnic diversity in the PR and communications industry, participated in a series of workshops and seminars. Highlights included a presentation on the Role ofVideoProduction inaPRcampaign, given by PHA Media’s Head of Production David Brookes, and a brainstorm which threw up some interesting creative ideas for a current PHA Media client.

PHA Media Associate Director, Stuart Skinner, who helped to organise the partnership with the Taylor Bennett Foundation, said: “The students were a breath of fresh air, their enthusiasmandknowledge was very impressive. I hope this is the start of a long and successful partnership between PHA and the Taylor Bennett Foundation and we expect to offer one three- month paid internship to a selected student in the near future.”

Sarah Stimson, Course Director at Taylor Bennett, said: “We are delighted that PHA Media has joined the growing list of PR agencies to host a field trip for our interns.

It is only with continued support from the industry that the Foundation can continue to offer such exciting opportunities to graduates.”

Vin-X invest in PHA

In March, PHA Media’s Entrepreneur and Business team turned to drink, or more specifically, to fine wines, as we began working with fine wine investment company Vin-X Ltd. Vin-X briefed PHA to build their media profile and promote the fine wine investment market to private UK investors. The wine investment market has in fact been around for centuries but until very recently it was only truly understood by high net worth collectors or parties with a professional interest.

It seems our foray into wine couldn’t have come at a better time as Robert Parker, the wine world’s leading expert, rated the 2009 vintage (which was bottled this year) as the best ever vintage of wine, scoring a record 19 wines with a perfect 100 point score. It makes 2012 the ideal time to invest in fine wine, and led to some impressive coverage for Vin-X as their wine experts appeared on Bloomberg, CNBC, BBC Radio Two Drivetime, BBC Radio 4 Today Programme as well as coverage in The Independent and The Huffington Post!
