HIGH SCHOOL: As a senior at Norco Senior High , Jim received All-League and All-County honors while averaging 24 ppg and 15 rpg . JUNIOR COLLEGE: Jim averaged 8.9 ppg and 5 rpg in 1979 while playing for Saddleback J .C.'s 35-1 team . USO : As a walk-on last year Jim came in and really did a great job in a reserve roll. Depsite his 6'5" frame he played center as well as forward muscling his way to a 2.1 ppg average and 2.2 rpg . PERSONAL : Born July 17, 1959 in Glendale , California . .. Jim presently lives with his father, Robert Bateman in Elverta, California . . . hobbies include hunting , fishing , and scuba diving.
