FC Life June, 2017

The sign up chart went up weeks ago and on June 16, seven women plus JR Congdon and Rich Lucchini showed up to play. The par 3 course is located in Palm Beach, south of Southern Boulevard. It is right on the ocean and the setting is beyond beautiful. There is an excellent restaurant where we had a lovely lunch. In addition, there were many other clubs participating and our group teed off in the afternoon.

We hit our Tee shots just before the first clap of thunder, left our balls behind and went in. They don't have radar or an alarm siren so it was a judgment call, and it turned out, a good one, as the rain and thunder continued. So, everybody packed up their clubs and went home. We were thrilled to have traveled in a really nice new mini-bus ( pictured above), driven by a man named Robert. In the picture you see Norma Lippman, Sharon Strongin, JR , Judy Goldsmith, Sharon Rochlin, Rich and Merel Cherry . Nancy Berkley and Christina Monacelli came in their own cars. We did get rain checks and hope to try again another day. It was fun!
