An air mail cover from Chungking to Shanghai, on reverse bearing SYS 1st London print 1c, 2nd Peking print Junk 4c and 2nd print air mail 30c, tied by bilingual ‘PAHSIEN (CHUNGKING)’ cds and Cypher trisected-circle postmark, with the same cancel on front. 848 1933 ( 19 May) AFFC from Chefoo reg. to Holland, via Saigon, Marseilles, on front bearing the 2nd Peking print air mail, on reverse bearing SYS 1st London print 4c, 2nd Peking print Junk 10c and 2nd Peking print air mail, 45c and 60c x 4, all tied by bilingual ‘CHEFOO’ cds, with ‘Saigon-Marseille’ frame chop in blue on front and bilingual ‘SHANGHAI/2?.5.33’, ‘TONKIN/29.5.33’ transit and ‘SAIGON-CENTRAL/30.5.33’ in single ring blue transit, a few dirt marks. An air mail cover from Chungking registered to Paris, bearing SYS London 1st print 20c x 2 and 2nd air mail issues 30c in pair, both tied by bilingual ‘CHUNGKING’ cds, on reverse with bilingual ‘SHANGHAI/3.2.33’ transit and ‘PARIS/7.3.33’ arrival cds. this cover took almost a month to reach it’s destination even though it travelled by airmail.
