INTRODUCING THE ASSISTANT COACHES KEVIN McGARRY Defensive Coordinator

LARRY CAUDILLO Quarterbacks and Receivers The senior member of the coaching staff, Larry begins his 10th season at USO. He moves back to the offensive unit after coaching outside linebackers in 1983. Kevin is in his seventh year as a member of the USO staff. Kevin played two years at USO after transferring from Saddleback Junior College in Mission Viejo. Charley starts his second year at USO after coaching the offensive line in '83. This season Charley w ill be in charge of the linebackers. Before coming to USO, Charley coached at Emporia State Univ. in Kansas where

he was a graduate assistant with the defensive line. He is a graduate of Friends University in Wichita, Kansas , where he also assisted in football for two years. Charley received his M.A. from Emporia.

Kickers and Special Teams Kevin is starting his second year as USD's Assist- ant Coach to Kickers. He will also assist Larry Caudillo with Special Teams.

JEFF WEISS Running Backs

A 1983 graduate from Cal State Northridge, Jeff comes to us from Crespi High School where he was the Defensive Coordinator for the sophomore team. Prior to Crespi , Jeff assisted at Chatsworth High School dur- ing the '81 and '82 seasons where he coached receivers, linebackers and ends. SKIP WOOD Equipment Supervisor

Kevin was USD's place- kicker from 1978 to 1982 while majoring in Political Science. Kevin is currently in his second year of Law School at USD.

PHIL SPENCER Student Ass't. Secondary and Scouting

Skip is starting his third year as the University of San Diego's Equipment Super- visor. Skip will be responsible for the maintenance and is- suance of equipment and will assist with facility main- tenance.
