Additional customization: • Customization also includes making the vendor software provide additional/enhanced services • Many third party vendors have software compatible with core software- some examples: – Better refining of the basic core vendor’s reporting – Providing graphics and dashboards – Better system metrics, e.g. performance monitoring, storage capacity, etc. – Interface(s) to other third party products, e.g., mobile banking app not provided by core vendor, etc.- sometimes referred to as “middleware”
