IoT- Always on Devices

 IoT also brings other issues- they are usually on  Usually Bluetooth and/orWi-Fi enabled, which can be detected  Fitbits, watches, Amazon’s “Alexa” ™, etc.  Monitor locations, actions, spoken words, etc.  Usually stores this data unsecured or w/minimal encryption  Device can be cloned and/or changed  Data can be subpoenaed IoT- IT System Issues  These “connected” devices require additional network resources, bandwidth, e.g. communication channels, etc.  Can be hacked and/or used for nefarious activities  Homeland Security has issued guidance on IoT based on this https://www.dhs.gov/sec uringtheIoT
