The booth has increased by 100m² to 250m², which highlights that wire China has become the second most important trade fair for Niehoff after wire Düsseldorf. H Folke Sandelin AB (HFSAB), specialised in horizontal lead extrusion and cable repair and recovery systems, will be a co-exhibitor. The multi-wire drawing machine MMH 101 combined with an RM 161 type continuous resistance annealer is designed to simultaneously draw 20 copper wires in 23 drafts from 1.8mm diameter to a minimum final diameter of 0.16 to 0.5mm. The MMH multi-wire drawing machines are designed for copper and aluminium wires and are based on a modular principle. Therefore, these machines can be built adapted to the specific tasks of customers. The wires drawn on MMH-type machines meet demanding specifications and processing requirements and can be processed to multi-wire bundles with outstanding characteristics. To date, more than 1,500 MMH lines are in operation worldwide. Data can be fully collected with the help of this system, which enables extensive and easy evaluation of the product log. These solutions provide additional support for customers as the operator can easily monitor the performance of the machines and is able to quantify the quality. Medek & Schörner combined several processes very smoothly – colouring/ ring marking and proof testing of optical fibres. This all-in-one process of colouring, ring marking and proof testing is gaining interest as the integration gives the user a considerably faster workflow. The inline proof testing is designed for a speed up to 3,000m/min and equipped with extensive diagnostics systems. It even allows the catching of break positions to be able to analyse them for investigation under microscope. These new developments are only the tip of the iceberg.
