Jettys Journal - June 2017

FROM THE MANAGERS DESK

Hello Residents,

At the time of writing this report, John is in hospital recovering from two major operations and we know you will all join with us in wishing him the very best for a speedy recovery. Karen has told us that he appreciates your good wishes and your kind thoughts and concern at this difficult time. We hope to see John back on board soon. The Company wishes to express its appreciation to all the Jettys staff for their assistance at this time. We especially want to acknowledge Jodie who has taken on the role of manager. Jodie, her daughter Amber and Renae, with assistance from Dot, have ensured the office has continued to run smoothly. Dave, Dot and Tim have taken care of the grounds and have even managed to find the time to change the colour of our road markings – we think you will agree the white paint is a big improvement over the yellow! Last month we welcomed some new residents to the village - Jenny in site 212 and Gaye in site 191b. We hope they settle into village life quickly and please make them feel welcome if you see them around the village. By now everyone will have noticed that progress is underway on the refurbishment of the community hall. Fencing and scaffolding have already gone up and work will commence shortly on the next stage of the works. This will involve reinforcing the core of the walls of the building then the removal of the old roof. Next, any joists requiring replacement will be attended to and the new roof will then be built. PLEASE NOTE that this area is a construction zone so exercise extra caution around the vicinity. Our builder will try to make the hall available wherever possible and we hope to accommodate social groups in the sales office or the sewing room during the times when the hall is out of action. If you need further information please direct your inquiries to the JRA or to the office. If you are thinking of selling your home now is a great time as there are currently no homes listed for sale in our beautiful village. We have an extensive data base of people wishing to call Jettys home, so feel free to call in and see the girls in the office for a no obligation chat and appraisal on your home.

From all accounts, the Mother’s Day High Tea was a great event, just look at the photos in this edition of the journal!

Finally, just a reminder to please let the office know if you change your contact details as it’s important that we have up to date information.

As the weather gets cooler, remember to rug up and look after yourselves!

Regards, The team at Jettys by the Lake
