 Know as PROMs or PROs

 Need to be validated on relevant population

 Ensure reliable, easy to complete and acceptable

 Can be challenging to translate into other languages

 Can measure changes in radiation specific toxicity such as breast changes, rectal bleeding or pneumonitis, demonstrate a dose response  Overlap with Health Related Quality of Life (QoL includes issues such as social support and spirituality)
