A GREAT DAY AT THE PALM BEACH PAR 3 GOLF COURSE Tuesday, May 21st, 27 women and 9 staff members travelled by bus to the Palm Beach Par 3 Golf Course. The weather was magnificent with sun very few clouds and a slight breeze to make the warm day bearable. Three women and a pro or caddie played a 2 ball shamble. FUN is an understatement to the day. The course is not easy and ideal to use irons and putt on an entirely different green than ours. The surroundings are fairy tale and we learned (some the hard way) that it is Iguana paradise. Do not bring a retriever as yours truly nonchalantly and vigorously was walking to retrieve her ball when all of a sudden, she spied an iguana in her path. A hasty retreat was had to the laugh of the day. After golf, we all had a delicious and filling lunch served on the upper porch of the clubhouse. It was a fabulous day and we cannot stop talking how much fun it was to all be on two buses and play a different course. Some of the women came up with an excellent idea, could we please go to a reciprocal course in the same format– that is how great the day was.
