#73 JUSTIN DIXON Senior Center Justin Dixon returns for his fourth and final season with the Toreros where he wi ll again anchor the Toreros' offensive line unit ... last season, as one of the team captains, he earned First Team All– Pioneer Football League honors playing center for the Toreros ... Don Hansen's National Weekly Football Gazette selected him Honorable Mention All-America for NCAA Division I-AA Mid-Majors ... it marked the second straight season he earned both of those awards ... in 2001 he was also named to

the Pioneer Football League All-Academic First Team, as well as being a member of the PFL Academic Honor Roll ... at USO he has been named to the Dean's List for four straight semesters

... prior to USO Dixon attended the University of Redlands his freshman campaign ... he prepped at Brea Olinda High School where he was an All-Orange League offensive lineman and was named to the Academic All-Orange League squad ... he earned the highest grade-point-average on his squad over his final two seasons ... also lettered in baseball .. . played twelve years of ice hockey on the California State team through his junior year of high school .. . was also recruited by Redlands, Whittier and Boston College ... chose USD to play competitive I-AA schedule, and to attend strong academic institution ... his dad (Paul) played football at Whittier College, while his uncle (Jim Fitzpatrick) played football at Cal State Fullerton ... after graduation plans to attend law school. #12 ERIC RASMUSSEN JuniorQuarterback Eric Rasmussen returns for his junior campaign where he will again be the starting quarterback after earning Honorable Mention All-Pioneer Football League honors in 2001 ... during his sophomore campaign he started all nine contests, completing 147-of-254 passes for 2,035 yards and 15 touchdowns ... among all I-AA players, he ranked 24th in passing efficiency (2nd in PFL), 30th in total offense (2nd in PFL) and 34th in passing (3rd in PFL) .. . he was named the PFL Offensive Player of the Week for

his September 29th performance in the team's 31 -24 victory over Drake - he completed 21-of-30 passes for 299 yards and 3 scores ... he passed for three touchdowns in three different contests, all Torero victories (Redlands , Drake and Fairfield)

... he threw for 200+ yards in six different contests, including 282 yards against Butler and 255 yards against Dayton .. . besides earning Honorable Mention All-PFL honors , he was named to the PFL All-Academic First Team (3 .76 GPA), was listed on the PFL Academic Honor Roll, and earned the team's Scholar Athlete of the Year honor ... prior to USO he played at El Camino Fundamental where in his senior year he was selected the MVP for the Capital Athletic League ... he is holder of nine passing/running records at the high school where he was also inducted into its Hall of Fame .. . also lettered in baseball where he was MVP, All-City and All-League ... also recruited by Oregon, Redlands, Cal Poly and Arizona State ... chose USO for its football program, location and strong academics .. . his father Terry played quarterback at Chico State .. . Dean's List honoree four straight semesters.Major: Business Administration.
