Michael DiPasquale returns fo r his final season where he is projected to start at inside linebacker ... last season he tied for 7th on the team with 29 tackles ( 18 so lo) to go with two quarterback sacks (- 18), 4 tackles fo r loss (-22), and 2 pass break-ups ... hi s best outings came against Valparaiso (8 tackl es) and Georgetown (7 tackles, 2 sacks) ... named to PFL Academic Honor Roll ... in 2000 he talli ed tackles in fi ve diffe rent contests, fini shing with 11 on the season (5 so lo) ... totaled 4 stops against Whittier and 3 tackles versus Menlo ... recrui ted to USD as a quarterback, but moved to linebacker during fres hman season ... is team's representati ve for department's Student Athl ete Council ... pri or to USD prepped at Wichita Colleg iate School in Wichita, Kansas where he was selected All -Southwest Kansas Top 11 hi s senior year as QB/LB ... ru shed for 600 yards and 10 TD's seni or year; passed fo r 1,300 yards and 19 TD's juniorcampaign while earning Honorable Mention All -State honors ... sophomore team was Regional champs ( I 1-1 ), whil e freshman year team won state titl e ( 13- 1) ... lettered in basketball where team won state champi onship ... also recruited by Kansas, Buckne ll , Naval Academy and Empori a State ... chose USD fo r academics and weather.
