Torero Coordinators

GREG QUICK Offensive Coordinator & Offensive Line Coach Greg Quick returns for his fourth season where he will again be the offensive coordinator and offensive line coach. While directing his "Surf & Turf" offense at USO, numerous Toreros have excelled in hi s system - most notably receiver Dylan Ching, quarter– back Mike Stadler and running back Oscar Arzu, all recent graduates who entertained the Torero fans while setting both single season and career records. tive spent the previous decade orchestrating the renewal of two NCAA Division Ill football programs. At St. Norbert College, in DePere, Wisconsin, he directed his squad to a share of the division title in 1994; and while at the University of Chicago, helped the 1993 pro–

gram amass the most wins since the Amos Alonzo Stagg team of 1929. Other coaching stops have included Claremont-Mudd Colleges (Def. Coor. ; 1988-89), Edinboro University (Def. Coor. ; 1986-88), New Mexico State (LB's; 1985-86), Heidelberg College (Off. Coor.; 1984-85), St. Edward HS (Def. Coor.; 1983-84), and Emporia State (Def. Coor.; 1981-83 and Off. Line; 1979-81 ). Coach Quick's playing career at Baldwin-Wallace College in Brea, Ohio, was highlighted by the team winning the 1978 NCAA Divi sion III National Champi– onship. An accomplished motivational speaker, Quick has delivered his "Quick Success" message to numerous businesses and organizations. Greg and his wife Jeannie, who have been married 23 years, reside in the Scripps Ranch area of San Diego with their six children: Phil, Nate, Bonnie, Ben, Brittany and Corey.

JASON DESJARLAIS Defensive Coordinator & Linebackers Coach Jason Desjarlais enters his first season as a full-time assistant with USO. DesJarlais, who will be the team's Defensive Coordinator and Recruiting Coordinator, replaced Bob Tompson who returned to Marietta College in Marietta, Ohio to become the Offensive Coordinator. DesJarlais returns to USO where he was the team 's defensive line coach for the 2000 season. This past season he was defensive line coach at Bates College in Lewiston, Maine. While at Bates College he was also in charge of recruiting areas for Massachusetts, Connecticut, Rhode Island, New York and Pennsy lvania. Additionally, he earned hi s certification as a Strength and Conditioning coach. Prior to first joining USO in 2000, he was defensive line coach for two seasons at Humboldt State (1998- L 999), and forone year at Western Montana College (1997) . A two-time All-America defensive lineman at Western Montana College, Jason helped lead hi s team to three Frontier Conference Championships. In 1994 and 1995, Western Montana College was

the NAIA national runner-up.

After graduating from Western Montana College in 1997 with a B.S. in Physical Education and Biology, Jason went on to earn his Masters of Science degree in Kinesiology from Humboldt State University in I999. From Ronan, Montana, Jason prepped at Ronan Hi gh School where he was a three-sport letterman .
