Developing new programs and courses for our members

T he ACA Professional Develop- ment department is constantly developing new programs and courses for you, our members. We know how important it is to stay on the leading edge of learning, especially in our field, which is con- tinuously evolving. We here at ACA are pleased to announce some recent changes in our professional develop- ment program: –– The redesigned professional development section on the ACA website has made naviga- tion easier, with a new fillable workshop template that will be used for workshop submissions going forward. –– New course packages that will offer significant savings for the following categories: mental health, security and offender management, juvenile correc- tions and legal issues. –– The new supervision/manage- ment subject area includes the following courses: • Becoming an Effective Correctional Supervisor • Managing Conflict • Motivating Correctional Staff • Teamwork

Submitting a workshop for ACA conferences has been made easier with the new redesign of the Professional Development web page at aca.org.
