P ROCEDURES

1. Create a new mail message.

2. Right-click text that appears with a single, red wavy or blue double line beneath it.

3. Select a suggested replacement or a spelling or grammar command.

S TEP - BY -S TEP Check spelling and grammar as you type.

Create a new message and click in the message box. Type the following sentences, including the misspelling: Please revew the following message. Hope you can join Carol and I at the meeting. . Press [Enter] after typing the text.

If necessary, set the spell check options to include checking for grammar (from the File tab , select Options , then select Mail. Click the Spelling and AutoCorrection button . In the Editor Options dialog box, on the Proofing page, ensure the Mark grammar errors as you type option is selected).

Practice the Concept: Right-click “ I ” in the second sentence and select me to correct the grammatical error.

On the next line, type Check your schedule , making sure that you misspell schedule . Type a period and watch AutoCorrect correct the misspelling.
