Lesson – Organizing Outlook Items

NOTE In the Mail and Tasks panes, a Click to toggle Quick Click Category button is available beside each item. In the Calendar , Contacts , Notes and Journal panes, apply the Quick Click Category by clicking in the item’s Categories column when it is displayed in a table view. Remove the Quick Click Category by clicking in the item’s Categories column a second time. To change to a table view in these panes, select List or Phone in the Current view group on the Home tab of the Ribbon. Examples of table views for these panes are as follows:

Calendar – List or Active Contacts - Phone or List

Notes - Notes List Journal - Entry List

Use Quick Click to assign the Default Category to several items at the same time. Select multiple items by holding down the [Ctrl] key while clicking the required items and then select the Click to toggle Quick Click Category option on one of the selected items.

P ROCEDURES 1. Open the folder with the item you want to categorize.

2. Locate the item.

3. In the Categories column, click the box for the item to categorize it.
