Lesson – Organizing Outlook Items

U SING S EARCH T OOLS  D ISCUSSION Expand your search capabilities to search on individual fields. Enter search criteria in one or more fields to narrow your search. The fields offered vary based on the pane displayed. In the Mail pane, Outlook initially displays four fields: From, Body, Subject and To . You can easily change the list of fields displayed at any one time; Outlook remembers your preferences and displays the selected field next time you use the Query Builder . You can also quickly add extra fields to the list if you need to search on multiple fields.  P ROCEDURES 1. Select the required pane. (Mail, Calendar, Contacts, Tasks).

2. Click the Instant Search field.

3. If necessary, click the Search contextual tab.

4. Choose a search option in the Refine group.

5. Begin typing the search text.

6. Continue typing until the required item is visible.

7. Select the required item.

S TEP - BY -S TEP Use the search tools to find e-mails.

Exchange messages with fellow student with the subject Project Review . When you receive the Project Review message, send a reply.
