Montessori stated that ‘the hands are the instruments of human intelligence’. The use of the hands helps the child to construct himself. In our factory it is the hands that create the attractive, precise, ingenious and durable Montessori apparatus. This cannot be done without the passion for what we do. Nienhuis Globe The Nienhuis globe is moulded from high quality, durable plastic and the two hemispheres have a very smooth finished seam. This way the child has an unobstructed view of the complete globe. The globe is positioned on a stainless steel rod which is mounted on a firmwooden stand. The continents are extruded and handpainted with 3 layers of paint and one layer of lacquer. The colors are very vibrant so that they attract the immediate attention of the child.
