Description of Services:

It is the mission of the Communication Center to relay accurate information in a timely fashion to law enforcement and fire-rescue agencies. The Communication Center is jointly funded by the City of Spencer and Clay County. The city employs the staff of the Communication Center which is under direct supervision of the police chief. The Communication Center employs eight (8) fulltime dispatchers, which includes one supervisor. They provide 24-7, 52 weeks a year emergency communications for the residents of Spencer and Clay County.
