Composite Requirements

Requirements that either state or imply multiple requirements within the statement are considered “Composite”. Composite requirements need to be decomposed into single statements. Many times requirements from stakeholders and customers are written as composite requirements. We now need to review the Originating Requirements we have and determine which of these are “Composite” Read through the list of requirements Which of these are “Composite”?

Composite Requirements

Requirements R.1 and  R.2, R.2.1, R.2.2, R.2.3, R.2.7 contain multiple  requirement statements. Select the Requirement and then set the Type  attribute to Composite.

Once we know which requirements are “Composite” – we need to  decompose them (in the next slides…)
