5. Replace the cover over the stem clamp- ing screw. 6. This is what your as- sembled handlebars and stem should look like when finished.

• All quick releases must be firmly closed before you set off. • Make sure all quick release levers and axles are securely and properly fas- tened - even if the pedelec has only been left unattended for a short time. • A closed quick release fastener must be folded in close to the frame, fork or seat post. • When closed, the tip of the quick release lever must always be pointed backwards. This way, it won’t open during the ride.

4. Use a torque wrench to tighten the stem clamp- ing screw clockwise.
