USD Softball 2009

of Ohio at home followed by a doubleheader at UC Santa Barbara. The San Diego Classic II will be next for USD as the Aztecs and the Toreros bring in nine teams from across the country. The Toreros will play in five of the 14 games at the USD Softball Compl ex scheduled for March 12-15. The Toreros open up the tournament against University of Connecticut in the Thursday night cap, followed by the 7pm game on Friday against Iowa State University. They have the evening twin bill on Saturday against McElvain's alma mater Oklahoma State University at 4:30 p.m. and Quinnipiac at 7:30 p.m., and wrap up the weekend with a 2:00 p.m. match-up against Northern Colorado. With no other tournaments to participate in, and three weeks before conference play, the Toreros have scheduled a single game against Texas Tech on March 18, and a doubleheader against Univer– sity of North Dakota on March 19, UC San Diego in La Jolla on March 22, and Cal State San Marcos on March 27. On April 1, the Toreros square off against the Aztecs for a single game at home scheduled for 6:00 p.m. for the second and final meeting of the season between these two teams. USD will open up PCSC play on April 4-5 when they travel to Sacramento State.They return to the confines of the USD Softball Complex to host Port– land State University the following weekend. The coaching staff decided to add a mid-week double– header against Cal State Bakersfield on April 15. San Diego wi ll hit the road for two weeks when they face Loyola Marymount in Los Angeles on April 18- 19, and Santa Clara in the Bay Area on April 25-26. San Diego wraps up their 2009 campaign at home against PCSC opponent Saint Mary's on May 2-3.
