What do you enjoy most about the USO Experience? Relationships, I have made some of my best friends here. What is your favorite activity to do in or around the city of San Diego? Morning wa lks at the beach. What is your favorite food in general or pre-game meal? Pre-game mea l: Submarina sandw ich.

High School: Pitched in the Avocado League for Ra ncho Buena Vista High... her sophomore season she went 19-5-1 pushing her team to second place at theDl CIF Championship and earning her spot on AII-CIF and First Team All-League...she saw identical results her junior season when she went 18-4 was named to the San Diego Hall of Champions, AII-CIF, First Team All-League and she also earned herself a title as Pitcher of the Yea r... in her senior season she went 18-9, was named Athlete of the Year, North County Times All-Academic, AII-CIF and First Team Al l-League while her team was again runner up in the CIF Championship. Personal: Born on February 27, 1987 ... Daughter of Doug and Teri Nelson of Carlsbad, California ... Also recruited by :ff .2S" Fresno State, SDSU and Wich ita State... Father Doug played baseball at Southern Colorado ... Sociology major. ~

What is your most memorable moment in your USO softball career? My most memorable moment in my USO career was when I hit a grand slam.

What is your favorite animal? My favorite animal is a giraffe. Who is your role model and why?

My mom and dad. They have accomplished so much in t heir life and both are very know ledgeable. What do you love about the city of San Diego? The distance to the beach, t he night life, and t he different cultu res. Name somewhere that you want to visit that you've never been to and why? Europe, to experience the different cultures. High School: Played at Woodinvi lle High in t he Kingco-Mountain Division... In her sophomore season she was named AII-Kingco Honorable Mention and her team Kingco Champions... Second Team All-King– co her junior yea r on a team that went 27-0 won Kingco and state... team was Kingco Champions and 3rd in state her senior season. Personal: Born November 9, 1987 to Mike and Chris Helbock of Woodinville, Washington ... chose USO for the small school environment and softball program ... Al so recruited by Albertson s and St. Martins... Played for t he Washington State Hurricanes Club... Business Major.
