Дом-студия, спроектированный архитектором Валерио Олгиати (Valerio Olgiati), предна- значен для композитора и певца Линарда Бардилла – как явствует из его личного сайта, «самого успешного швейцарского детского композитора». Столь ли специфическое на- правление, в котором работает заказчик, или просто окружающий пейзаж идиллической швейцарской деревеньки в горах навели архитектора на мысль декорировать фасад фантазийным узором. Вообще, само название намекает на то, что проект был скорее упражнением, какие часто выполняют студенты архитектурных вузов – например, дом для художника, физика-ядерщика, продавца подержанных автомобилей. Однако художествен- ное обобщение и одновременно понимание того, что дом строится для людей, которые в нем живут или работают, а не просто для выражения формального жеста, использованные архитектором при проектировании, сделали здание поистине универсальным, отражающим уже не профессию, что могло бы воплотиться в странных деталях и образах, но филосо- фию, образ жизни.
