MAN expands operations

MAN’s Retail operations will open a wholly-owned operation in Port Eliz- abeth. One of South Africa’s largest cities, Port Elizabeth has always been an important location on the Garden Route for MAN to offer support to its clients. Previously operated as a Private Capital location, MAN decided that it was the right time to reinforce its footprint by setting up the whol- ly-owned location. Adding to this, MAN Automotive has seen a significant increase in sales and market share, and as a result announced plans which enable the expansion of assembly operations by approximately 50% compared to 2016. Effective April 1, 2018, the Assembly Plant will cater for end- Volvo Trucks Southern Africa recently rec- ognised the achievements of its dealers at event held in Pretoria, South Africa. Apart from awards for the company’s top achievers in service finance, sales and parts, Volvo Trucks’ best dealers of the year were also announced. Volvo Truck Centre Nelspruit was named Volvo Trucks Small Dealer of the Year. The Volvo Trucks Medium Dealer of the Year award went to Volvo Truck Centre Middelburg, while Autosueco Namibia was named Volvo Trucks Developing Markets Dealer of the Year. The Volvo Trucks Mega Dealer of the Year accolade went to Volvo Truck Centre Cape Town. “The year 2017 was a certainly memorable year for the company, and at the centre of our success was our dealer network,” says Torbjörn Christensson, president of Volvo Group Southern Africa. “Testament to this
