Pumpkin Spice Semifreddo From page 18 Makes about 1 1/2 Litres
• 1 ounce Aperol (16021Z) • 3 ounces Spiced Apple cider • 3 ounces Champagne or Prosecco • Splash of club soda • Cinnamon & Sugar mixture for rim • Garnish with sliced apples, orange slice, cinnamon stick or plastic spiders or eyeballs
• 1 1/2 oz Crown Royal Apple Whisky (04011Z) • 1 1/2 cups Farmer's Market apple cider
• 1 can sweetened condensed milk • cup pumpkin puree • 1 tsp cinnamon • 1 tsp ground ginger • tsp nutmeg
• 1/2 orange, sliced • 1 Cinnamon Stick • Dried orange slice for garnish • Cinnamon for garnish
• tsp cloves • tsp allspice • 2 Tbsp vanilla extract • tsp salt • 2 cups whipping cream
Directions In a small pot, bring 1 1/2 cups of apple cider, 1 1/2 oz of Crown Royal Apple Whisky, 1/2 sliced orange and a stick of cinnamon to a boil. Remove from heat and discard the orange slices and cinnamon stick. Pour liquid into a mug.
Directions Prepare the Glass:
Directions Stir the condensed milk, vanilla, spices and salt together in a medium bowl. Stir well to combine. In a separate bowl, beat the whipped cream with a whisk until it is fluffy and makes stiff peaks. Add the whipped cream to the condensed milk mixture and fold it in carefully until it’s barely combined. Spread the mixture into a shallow casserole dish and freeze for at least 2 hours (overnight is better!) Once the mixture is frozen, cover tightly with plastic wrap. Enjoy with caramel sauce, salted nuts or with espresso poured over top!
Rub the rim of the glass with a slice of lemon and dip the glass in cin namon sugar mixture; set aside until ready to use Prepare the Aperol Spritz Cocktail: Add ice to a stemless wine glass until it is almost full.
Mix & Garnish with a slice of dried or ange and a sprinkle of cinnamon.
Pour the spiced apple cider, aperol and champagne into the glass.
Top of the mixture with a slash of club soda to fill the glass to the top. Stir and garnish with an apple slice and cinnamon stick. For an extra spooky touch, try adding a plastic spider or eyeball.
