ESC of Lake Erie West-October 20 ESC of Central Ohio-November 2 For all sessions registration is 9:00 AM-9:30 AM with sessions 9:30 AM until 2:30 PM Become a Certified OLAC Facilitator By becoming a certified OLAC Facilitator, you will become familiar with and gain an enhanced working knowledge in the following: • Ohio Improvement Process (OIP) • How to use the content of the modules to enhance the effectiveness of district and building leadership teams ( DLT, BLT, TBT ) • Ohio Principal Evaluation System (OPES): Lead superintendents/principals through the Principal Standards Crosswalk. This crosswalk aligns relevant OLAC module materials to each element and standard within the Ohio Principal Standards, which represent the basis for the OPES. • Ohio Teacher Evaluation System (OTES): Lead principals/teachers through the Teacher Standards Crosswalk. This crosswalk aligns relevant OLAC Module materials to each element within the Ohio Standards for the Teaching Profession, which represents the basis for the OTES. OLAC facilitators will be able to demonstrate how superintendents, principals, and teachers can develop a Professional Growth Plan that has anytime capability and is free to the participants. Credit Options OLAC Facilitators will become familiar with templates of various workshop offerings using OLAC Modules that can be presented to colleges and universities for consideration for college credit. Ohio Principal Evaluation System Training

Learn the evaluation process from two experienced and dynamic trainers. Deb Campbell, former superintendent of Clarke-Shawnee Local Schools and Kathy Lowery, former superintendent of Granville Exempted Village Schools helped the ODE develop the training modules and were on the writing team to cre- ate the OPES. They have conducted the training for six years and make it fun and interactive. Evaluations from participants state it is the “best training they have ever had” and they “love the examples” used in the training! THE 2017 OIAAA STATE CONFERENCE

The 2017 OIAAA State Conference for school athletic administrators will be held at the Columbus Hilton-Easton, November 12-14, 2017. This year’s conference will provide professional development and best practice sharing for education-based athletic programming at the Middle and High School levels. Dr. Jim Mahoney (Director Emeritus, Battelle for Kids) will be the Sunday night keynote speaker. Joe Ehrmann and Jody Redman of the new “InsideOut Initiative” will be presentiing a keynote with breakout sessions on Monday. Additionally, Dr. Lee Green, one of the nation’s foremost authorities on school athletic law will be featured on Monday afternoon as well as teaching two Leadership Training Courses on interscholastic athletics law during the conference. His expertise in the areas of Title IX, hazing/bullying, gender-equity and many aspects of athletic impact will be beneficial for experienced and novice athletic administrators. On Tuesday, noted management consultant, Jack Slavinski will address developing a winning school culture.

The Ohio Leadership Advisory Council (OLAC) is pleased to host the 2017 Action Forum: Courageous Leadership: Empowering and Inspiring Action for All . This event is designed to bring Ohio educators together to learn, network, and collaborate around the use and impact of OLAC tools and resources to strengthen leadership practices. Join hundreds of Ohio superintendents, principals, teachers, and others who will share their stories about using the OLAC tools and resources and the impact they are experiencing in their districts, schools, and classrooms.
