Project calls on the team

Prysmian Group has signed an agreement with the Chinese contractor Talesun (acting on behalf of Shanghai Electric) for the supply of cables, accessories, monitoring systems, services and project supervision for the Cauchari solar park in Argentina. The315MWphotovoltaicplant projectwill be at an altitude of 4,100m in an area of huge solar resource. The solar park will generate a monthly average of 55,073MWh, which will be conveyed to the 345kV line that links the Chilean town of Andes with the town of Cobos, in the province of Salta. The Cauchari solar park is the first project officially signed by the governments of Argentina and China as part of the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI). Prysmian will provide

over 3,600kmof instrumentationandcontrol, medium voltage, low voltage and solar cables from its Tianjin and Yixing plants, as well as 1,100 medium voltage accessories and connectors from the Yixing plant; 100 Pry-Cam grids; and one Pry-Cam portable, for monitoring, from Prysmian Electronics. Supervision services for both MV accessories and Pry-Cam will be supplied by the team in Argentina. “We leveraged the internal synergies within the group, with the close cooperation of the different regions and teams involved, to fulfill the complex requirements of the project. This is amilestone example of global integration and teamwork within Prysmian,” explainedMatteo Bavaresco, CEOPrysmian Group China.
