PHA Media Buzz December 2013
A royal success for PHAMedia
PHA Joins PRCA PHA Media was visited by the PRCA (Public Relations Consultants Association) during November, for an audit of the business, in preparation for joining the organisation as an accredited member. We were evaluated in categories including - Leadership and Communication, Business Planning, Business Improvement, Financial Systems, Campaign Management, Client Satisfaction, New Business and People Management – and are pleased to announce that we passed with flying colours! The PRCA is the professional body that represents UK PR consultancies, set up in 1969. The Association exists to raise standards in PR and communications and all PRCA members are required to hold the Communications Management Standard (CMS) - the hallmark of PR excellence. As a CMS accredited agency, we will open our doors to continual assessment and are obliged to undergo a formal review by an independent auditor every two years. We will also be undergoing regular training and attending networking events hosted by the PRCA. In addition, PHA Media Chairman, Phil Hall, has joined the Council of the PRCA. The group is charged with discussing issues in PR and informing the future of the PRCA.
PHA Media must be one of very few PR agencies who can say that they have visited Buckingham Palace. The Sport and Leisure team arranged for leading affordable fitness chain PureGym to be the title sponsor of Chiswick Polytechnic FC, who were taking part in the first ever football match at Buckingham Palace. They contested the match against local rivals and the world’s oldest associated club, Chiswick Civil Service, as part of the Football Association’s 150th anniversary celebrations. The Duke of Cambridge, president of the FA,
helped arrange the game between two of England’s oldest amateur clubs after The Queen gave her permission for the unique Southern Amateur League fixture. It was an incredible experience for the Sport and Leisure team being in the palace gardens and was an even greater success with Chiswick Polytechnic winning 2-1! The association gave PureGym a global presence as the match was covered internationally, as well as in a number of the UK’s leading news titles.
