Holiday Season of Sharing

Winnetka #36 - Dr. Thomas Hagerman Grade 8 students on Team Rainmakers load a truck with food and gifts for needy families; Students at Crow Island Elementary School pose during a holiday placemat-making project for residents of a local nursing home. Grade 4 members of the school’s Peace Power Corps oversaw the efforts of students in grades 1-2; Candice Florance, kinetic- wellness teacher at Carleton Washburne School shows off a cart filled with food and gifts for needy families at Northwestern University Settlement House; The grade 4 group Peace Power Corps at Crow Island School in The Winnetka Public Schools District 36 organized a mitten drive in the school for people who suffered damages in the Washington tornado.

Streator Twp HS #40 - Dr. Kevin Myers Members of our freshman and sophomore girls' basketball teams rang bells for The Salvation Army during the holiday season; Our Streator Township High School Key Club members made blankets for Christmas for sick children of the Children's Hospital of Peoria. They were delivered on Dec.19th to the children there; Members of our Senior Class traveled to Washington to help with tornado relief efforts. They helped at two distributions centers sorting and organizing donations.
