Holiday Season of Sharing

Northbrook #28 - Dr. Larry Hewitt (Students with snowflakes): 5th grade students at Northbrook School District 28's Greenbriar School worked with their 2nd grade "buddies" to craft giant snowflakes to decorate a local retirement home. (Student with senior citizen): Northbrook School District 28's Westmoor School third graders shared holiday music with seniors, and also brought the residents holiday cards. (Adults with gifts): Northbrook School District 28's Central Office adopted a needy family, with support staff and administrators signing up to purchase gifts requested by each member of the family.

Smithton #130 - Susan Homes The Smithton Grade School Student Council spearheaded a toy drive for St. Louis Children's Hospital for the holidays. Above is a picture of some of the toys donated by families and students.

Evergreen Park Elem #124 - Dr. Robert Machak Each year 7th graders make Gingerbread Houses for our local nursing home in Evergreen Park. They walk to the nursing home and deliver them personally. They spend the morning there visiting and singing Christmas Carols to the residents.

Prairieview-Ogden CCSD #197 - Victor White Prairieview-Ogden CCSD #197 took part in a T-Shirt fundraiser to support nearby Gifford #188, which was damaged in the November tornado.
