Holiday Season of Sharing

Palatine CC #15 - Dr. Scott Thompson Community Consolidated School District 15's school social workers partnered with the local YMCA and Palatine Township to provide nearly 350 needy families across the district with gifts this holiday season. Students from John G. Conyers Learning Academy visited Church Creek Retirement Home in Arlington Heights on December 12 to stage their annual holiday performance. For their annual service project, sixth graders at Marion Jordan School stuffed stockings as part of The Night Ministry’s Holiday Celebration. Gray M. Sanborn School proudly launched its first-ever “Helping Hands” holiday support program to assist families that found themselves in financial hardship during the holiday season.

Community HS #155 - Dr. Johnnie Thomas Cary-Grove High School’s Interact students loaded 800 presents to be delivered to underprivileged students at Hanson Park Elementary School in Chicago. The students collected and donated $85,000 worth of presents to CPS students during the past five years including $20,000 worth of gifts this year. Crystal Lake Central High School’s Madrigals performed at O’Hare Airport. CL Central’s Madrigal dinner is the state’s oldest school-sponsored madrigals event, having just completed its 42 nd consecutive dinner.
