05 PUT THE EQUIPMENT IN THE “DRAIN VEHICLE” POSITION
> Switch on the pump and switch the valve to the “DRAIN VEHICLE” position
> Lhe coolant starts to be sucked out; you can check the level by means of the gauge on the equipment.
06 CLEAR THE ACCESSES TO THE BLEED SCREWS IF THE VEHICLE HAS ANY
> Refer to the vehicle’s technical manual to access the bleed screws.
07 CONNECT THE “BOOST” BLOWER TO THE BLEED PORTS
> Once the hoses are flattened and the negative pressure has stabilised at less than -0.7 bar , use the boost blower starting from the bleed port closest to the expansion tank going to the one furthest away.
> Connect the boost blower and its bleed extension hose to the female connector on the front of the equipment. Use this device only, because the blower’s pressure is regulated. To begin with, remove the cap from the bleed port located between the engine block and the fan motor unit.
> Connect the blower to the bleed port.
Tip to help bleed the coolant : if the vehicle has an expansion tank return, disconnect it to create a suction effect, then block the hole in the tank. Let the negative pressure rise back and block the expansion tank return hole. The coolant is sucked out. Repeat the operation if necessary.
> Inject air into the cooling circuit in 2- to 3-second bursts in order to inject the coolant into the expansion tank. Wait for the pressure to fall below -0.7 bar before giving another burst.
