Diagnosis
DRE:
•
– At 5 cm from the internal anal sphincter:
Circumferential tumor
•
Fixed
•
• Blood on the exploring finger
Colonoscopy:
•
– Bleeding tumor at 7 cm from the anal verge, extending for 5 cm.
Biopsy:
•
– Moderately differentiated adenocarcinoma
• Blood Tests: Elevated CEA (>30 ng/ml), other blood tests normal
