Continuus-Properzi on show in Russia In the mid-1940s, Continuus-Properzi developed its methodology and process for continuously casting non-ferrous rod. Today, Continuus-Properzi is among the global leaders of CCR lines for non-ferrous wire rod production, offering a complete product line including all the necessary elements from furnaces to casting equipment, to rolling equipment and dual wire rod coilers. The Properzi organisation provides continuous casting and rolling technology for the production of aluminium and copper wire rod on a global basis, the latter being produced from either copper cathodes or 100% low quality copper scrap to yield top quality copper rod. The product line also encompasses machinery for the production of non-ferrous ingots using the traditional Wheel & Belt or the new Track & Belt system. The product line is complemented by the range of the Wire Machinery Division, which includes the “Megalogos” machine for high carbon steel wire drawing applications that benefit from the large, ergonomic, horizontal capstans with 1,270mm diameter.
