Accuracy - Procedure

The accuracy of the method was established by analyzing the control SRM 1849a for 10 days in duplicate preparations. Spiking all the nine sample matrices at ~100% level on three days and measuring the average recovery of the elements. The overall means (n=6) for each analyte in three SPIFAN matrices were compared with the previously published values.

Accuracy – Acceptance Criterion

Mean results for control must be within NIST certified values for 1849a. Mean (n=3) spike recoveries for each of the 9 products must be in the range 90 – 110%. The mean (n=6, daily duplicates averaged to report one mean)) results for all elements in each of the three SPIFAN matrices shall agree to within 5% of their previously published values.
