Keeping kitchen appliances looking and smelling fresh and clean only requires a few household items, a bit of effort and some time. Did you know the cleanliness of your fridge can impact the taste of your food? If yours is due for a cleaning, remove all the items from inside and discard those that are expired. Clean stains with a paste- like mixture of 1/2 cup baking soda mixed with 1 tbsp of vinegar. With a soft sponge, most stains will easily disappear. Wipe clean with a damp cloth and your fridge will be clean again. Natural ingredients can also be used to clean inside your oven and dishwasher. Scrape off baked-on food in your oven with a spatula then heat the juice of two lemons for about 30 minutes at 250 degrees. The citric acid from the lemon juice will not make only your oven smell fresh, it will also loosen up any remaining mess. To finish the job, simply wipe inside the oven with a sponge dipped in baking soda and then polish with a cloth and warm water. The same sponge and baking soda method can be used inside your dishwasher. Lemonade powder, an alternative to lemon juice, can be used as detergent in an empty dishwasher on a regular cycle to remove remaining stains and buildup. REFRESHYOUR KITCHEN
