New retail light vehicle registrations in the Metro Area increased 8.2% in August of ’14 versus a year earlier. Auto Outlook projected that registrations would improve by 11%. Last month’s increase was expected since year- earlier results in the area market tailed off a bit in August. Auto Outlook is projecting that September sales increased by 4% versus a year earlier. We will report on the accuracy of that projection in the November release.
