RECIPE

DIRECTIONS:

1. Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 325°F (163°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper. 2. Wet Ingredients: In a large bowl, beat the butter, powdered sugar, Deep Roots Maple Cream Liquor and vanilla extract together until light and fluffy, about 2-3 minutes. 3 . Dry Ingredients: In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, cornstarch, and salt. Gradually add the dry mixture to the butter mixture, mixing on low until just combined. Don’t overmix. 4. Chill the Dough: Form the dough into a log and wrap it in plastic wrap, and chill for 30 minutes in the refrigerator. This makes it easier to cut. 5. Shape Cookies: Cut dough into approximately 1/4-inch-thick coins and place them on the prepared baking sheet and bake: Bake for 15-18 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden. Cool completely on a wire rack. 6. Maple Cream Icing: While cookies are cooking. Cream butter in bowl with a hand mixer. Add icing sugar and mix well. Add vanilla extract, mix well. Add in Deep Roots Maple Cream Liquor, mix well. Add icing to a piping bag and set aside. Once cookies are cooled, decorate, and enjoy! Store in an airtight container and enjoy the festive flavors of maple and cream.
