THE BASILICA OF LA SAGRADA FAMILIA The first stone for this temple, located in the heart of Barcelona and the su- preme example of Catalan Modernist architecture, was laid in 1882. It was a year later when the architect Antoni Gaudí returned to the project to which he would dedicate 40 years of his life.
