Technip secures contract for Matindok project

of 12" production pipelines; 6" MEG pipeline complete with 2" piggy backed service line; supply and installation of steel tube umbilical; fabrication and installation of pipeline end manifold; flowline end termination; flexible tails and rigid well tie-in spools; installation of templates and manifolds provided by the client; rock dumping; and pre- commissioning. The company’s operating centre in Oslo, Norway, will execute the project, while vessels from the group fleet will perform the installation in the summer seasons of 2016 and 2017. The pipelines will be fabricated at Technip’s spoolbase at Evanton, UK, and installed by the Deep Energy pipelay vessel. Umbilicals will be manufactured at the group’s new facility in Newcastle, UK.

Technip, in a consortium with PT Wijaya Karya (Persero) Tbk (WIKA), has been awarded an onshore lump-sum contract by PT Pertamina EP for the Matindok Gas Development project located in Central Sulawesi, Indonesia. The contract covers the engineering, procurement, construction and installation of gas well pads, flowlines and pipelines, as well as a central processing plant (672mn cubic metres of gas per year) with gas treatment facilities such as acid gas removal and sulphur removal, and related infrastructure. Sweet gas from Matindok central processing plant will be sent to the Donggi Senoro liquefied natural gas plant.
