What’s On August - October music in the

Studio 188 is the new creative performing arts space located in the top of town within Ipswich CBD. Previously the Baptist Church, this space has been transformed into a dynamic cultural and creative space. It provides cutting edge facilities and equipment that allows for various forms of performing arts; ranging from theatre, dance, musicals, concerts, school performances, workshops, multimedia presentations, band performances and creative and cultural expression. Studio 188 is very excited to have a revamped performance and workshop program in 2019, offering local artists amazing opportunities to build community cultural capacity in the City of Ipswich.

III TRIO Friday 2 August | 8.00 pm Wind down on the first Friday of every month with new jazz, delicious cheese and a glass of your favourite tipple. August will feature the iii trio who blend hard, energetic grooves with rich chords and round, echoing melodies and solos.

JAZZ AT WOODSTOOCK: INGRID JAMES + TONI ZAFFA Saturday 17 August | 8.00 pm

Join us on the 50th anniversary of Woodstock for a celebration of the songs and artists that made it one of the most iconic events in live music history. Ingrid James, Toni Zaffa and Grammy-award winning artist Paul Armstrong have put together a stellar 7-piece band that promises a glorious celebration of the great songs that were once heard and loved – breathing new life into the music.

THE STEELE SYNDICATE Saturday 28 September | 8.00 pm The Steele Syndicate has got the groove, and it’s infectious. The Brisbane based octet has an eclectic, genre-bending sound that reimagines elements of old school funk, reggae, ska and indie rock.
