Boulder Imaging names Neil Vanasse as senior optical solutions engineer BOULDER Imaging, an expert in high performance quality inspection, machine vision, and high-speed imaging solutions, has announced that Neil Vanasse has joined the company as a senior optical solutions engineer. Mr Vanasse is an optical and mechanical engineer with more than 15 years of experience. Mr Vanasse will be designing imaging solutions around the company’s flagship product lines Vision Inspectort™ Intelligent Machine Vision and Quazar High Performance Digital Video Recorder (HPDVR)™. “Our company is growing rapidly. We are developing and marketing new products that are the centrepiece of state-of- the-art imaging solutions that provide our customers unmatched inspection speed, accuracy and reliability. Boulder Imaging systems are recognised as in a class by themselves in the industry. To maintain this leadership position we are actively expanding our team of world class technical professionals,” says Carlos Jorquera, founder and CTO. “Mr Vanasse is an excellent addition to our team as we continue to provide our customers with the most technically advanced intelligent machine vision available,” he added. “The dynamic team at Boulder Imaging is what attracted me to this company. As a senior optical solutions engineer, I will be at the front line solving customers’ high-speed imaging and inspection challenges,” says Mr Vanasse. Mr Vanasse brings extensive experience in optical and mechanical engineering. He previously held the position of optical/mechanical engineer at Rocky Mountain Instruments working on design, analysis and testing of ultraviolet, visible and infrared optical systems. He was employed for nine years with Lockheed Martin Coherent Technologies where he designed, assembled and tested optical/LADAR systems along with a variety of laser and thermal-electric technologies. Prior to Lockheed Martin, Mr Vanasse gained valuable experience working at the Center for Research and Education in Optics and Lasers (CREOL), University of Central Florida.
