FABTECH 2011 The FABTECH International and AWS Welding Show, including METALFORM, is well established as the US industry event of the year. This year’s show, held once again at the outstanding McCormick Place, Chicago, is perfectly timed to provide attendees with the opportunity to emerge with the latest metal fabricating solutions in order to improve production as well as new business connections to help support plans for a successful 2011 and 2012.

Welding It is very difficult to achieve the highest standards of quality and safety using manual welding. This is due to certain welding positions, overhead and down-hand welds for example, often leading to faulty welds due to restricted access the user has in these welding positions. In order to have complete control over the weld pool, a perfect balance must be maintained between gravitational force and surface tension at every position of the torch.

Tubotech

In the first week of October, tube and pipe professionals will be streaming back to São Paulo, Brazil, from all points of the compass for the 2011 edition of Tubotech – the sixth International Tube, Fittings, and Components Fair and the leading such event anywhere. With all due respect to the glamour of Brazil, it represents a practical choice of venue too, never more so than in this year of bracing economic conditions worldwide.
