BASA and the AMP Platform Recently, BASAhas launched anewmembership andevent registrationplatformcalled AMP supported by Final Forms. Eventually, this upgrade will allow much more flexibility and ease to membership renewal and conference registration. Thanks for your patience, and let us know how we can help. New College Credit Plus Rules During the budget process (Am. Sub. HB 49), the educationmanagement associations lobbied for changes in the College Credit Program, including ensuring that CCP courses were consistent with the intent of the program and addressing the continuing participation of students in CCP when they were not enjoying success. The Ohio General Assembly enacted language to require the Department of Higher Education to adopt rules to address these issues. Those rules (OAC 3333-1-65.12 and 3333-1-65.13) are scheduled to take effect later this month. However, they will impact the 2018-2019 school year, and the CCP year begins with the summer term prior to a traditional school calendar. In other words, they will be effective this summer.
