SOPHOMORE (2004): Part of an outstanding Torero team that finished 14-0 in league play and captured the 2004 West Coast Conference Championship .. Helped USO reach the NCAA Tournament's Sweet 16 for the first time in school history... Played in 11 games and made one start.. . Killed a season-high eight against nationally recognized Long Beach State (9-21 )... Totaled 20 kills and five blocks on the season. FRESHMAN (2003): Made three starts while appearing in 20 matches... As a team the Blue Devils went 10-19.. . Murphy ranked third on the team with 109 assists... Recorded 2.83 digs per game, which was third highest for any Duke player in '03. HIGH SCHOOL/PREP: Attended Chadwick High School in Palos Verdes ..
