Honored as Jefferson High School's team MVP and was named a First Team All-District selection as a prep standout. .. Volleyball Monthly listed Abrahamson as a FAB-50 prep recruit and Prep Volleyball tabbed her as one of the nation's top 100. PERSONAL: Born January 14, 1986 in Edina, Minn .. . Was also recruited by Florida, Illinois, Houston, UC Santa Barbara and Ohio .. Chose to attend USO because of the coaching staff, friendly atmosphere and the beautiful campus.. 3 SOPHOMORE (2005): Appeared in 28 matches for the Toreros ... named to the WCC All-Academic Team... posted double figures in kills on 16 different occa– sions...had an individual season-high 17 kills against Santa Clara (11-11 )... had the third highest attack percentage of the San Diego squad with 289 kills and 2.65 kills per game)... put up 46 blocks and 65 digs on the season. FRESHMAN (2004): Helped San Diego enjoy one of the most successful seasons in school history... started in a pair of matches and played in a total of 23 games for the wee Champion Toreros as a true freshman...put down a season-high 13 kills, hitting for a .611 attack percentage, at Gonzaga (10-29)...had eight kills during a home victory over city rival San Diego State (10-5)...competed in a pair of NCAA Tournament matches, totaling seven ki lls against USC (12-10) in Regional play... fi nished the season with an excellent hitting percentage of .394. SOPHOMORE (2005): Appeared in all 29 matches for the Toreros.. .posted a team-high 84 blocks on the season...had an individual season high seven blocks against UCLA (9-3)... put up double figures in kills eight times including 17 at Cal State Fullerton (11 -23) ...finished the season with 240 kills for an average of2.12 kills per game and a .277 attack percentage. FRESHMAN (2004): Played in 12 matches and a total of 18 games, helping San Diego win the wee Championship as a true freshman... Totaled 11 blocks... Had five kills in her second collegiate game, vs. Eastern Washington (9-5) ... Matched her season-high with five kills and added season-high numbers in blocks (3) and digs (4) against city rival's San Diego State (10-5)... Part of a Torero team that went 14-0 within conference play (24-5 overall), won 18 consecutive matches and qualified for the NCAA Tournament's Sweet 16.
