Middle School Mixer is for ages 10-12. Participants will have the opportunity to meet new people, engage in ice breakers and group games, music, and recreational activities. Pizza and drinks included. Parents/Guardians are not required to stay. Experienced staff will be supervising. Pre-Registration required. The William Austen Youth Center offers a safe and exciting day when there is no school on non-major holidays and in-service days. Children will have plenty of outdoor play, indoor competitions, and a few specials treats. Pack a lunch and snack for the day and don’t stress about the School’s Out Days with Parks and Recreation. Skateboarding with Austin Location: Skate Park

Learn to skate from a talented instructor! Skateboarders can improve their skills or start from scratch by learning various tricks, safety, and etiquette for all skill levels. Participants must supply their own equipment. The Youth Center and Skate Park will be closing at 3:00pm on Thursday, December 31st. The Youth Center and Skate Park will be closed on Friday, January 1st in observance of the new year. Participants will discover that wildlife exists in many colors, make inferences about the rela tionship between wildlife colorations and the colors and patterns found in an animal’s habitat and discuss coloration of wildlife as an adaption for survival.
